White Fire

Isaiah 6:6-7

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”

His Fire is greater than Heaven can contain

Not even the angels with all their might can restrain

The Earth can’t hold a flicker to His flame

Nobody can fully understand Him; even religion is too tame

It’s bright to look at, too much to contemplate

He is holy and righteous, lovely and pure, only His children can relate

This fire burns up everything it sees, all our guilt and shame

Even your secret thoughts deep in your mind, hiding from His name

Stretch out your hands and receive His fire, let it drip from your fingertips

After just a taste, it shall flow forth from your lips

Very powerful lines of poetry, and I’m really glad you posted this.
