Lonely Skies

Revelation 19:11

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

My colors change throughout the day.  I’m never the same, still waiting…

I remind them of Him every day.

He promised He would open me wide, showcasing His triumphant return.

A bleak world, lonely faces throughout each city and field.

I quietly wait…

One day, one day, all will return as it was.  His majesty, His royalty, covering the Earth

My Master is coming soon.

Angels dance above over every star, whispering amongst themselves.

I just want to hear His voice.  When is He returning?  How much longer?

Heaven is full of His glory, dripping down onto the firmament.

Earth is thirsty for righteousness, craving peace, empty of joy.

Years go by…I still patiently await His return.

Creation speaking to Creation, look up, see His workmanship.

Occupy until it’s time to rise, I’ll gladly receive you.

All I can do is reveal to them His reality.

A daily masterpiece, displayed upon His canvas.

Philippians 2:12-13

12 Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

The end result of everything is the coming back of Jesus Christ.  When God sends His Son one last time for His bride, the church, we will be in Heaven and the entire Heavens and Earth will be remade and everything will be perfect.  Heaven and Earth will become one, as God always intended it.  Even though it started in the Garden of Eden, God’s ultimate plan is to gather His children who have passed through the fire of the trails in this life and unite His family.  Believers in Christ spread His kingdom throughout the Earth for this very reason.  Even shortly after Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, the disciples were already preaching that He would be back very soon.

The rapture is a hot topic amongst many believers, but the bible speaks for itself.  Personal opinion is not needed, nor does God need someone to correct Him.  This world is full of distractions that keep our mind off of tomorrow.  Tomorrow is never promised, and yet most people put all their trust, money, effort and strength into what might be.  God tells us that nobody is promised tomorrow, and to worry about today’s problems.  Right now is the time for us to be holy, because anytime, at any moment Jesus Christ can come back.  Nobody knows when, only the Father (Mark 13:32).  So don’t let any ancient civilization’s calendar, prophet, or anyone else tell you they know when that day is.  Let’s keep spreading the kingdom of God and telling as many people as we can about Jesus Christ.  He’s the way, the truth and the life.
